eSIM compatibility checker
Is your phone eSIM ready?
Search your model, then confirm the EID before you travel.
Model name alone is not enough
eSIM support can change by hardware variant, sales region, carrier and lock status. Use the list as a guide, then confirm the EID on your exact phone.
Important model exceptionsReview before buying a travel eSIM
- iPhone in mainland China: Apple currently lists only iPhone 17e (A3635) and iPhone Air (A3518) for mainland China carrier eSIM. Other iPhone models cannot install a mainland China carrier eSIM profile.
- Hong Kong and Macao iPhone: many local variants use two physical nano-SIMs instead of eSIM. Confirm the exact model number before purchase.
- US Pixel 10 series: Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL are eSIM-only in the US, so they do not accept a physical SIM.
- Older Pixel models: Pixel 3/3a have country and carrier exceptions; Pixel 2 eSIM works only on Google Fi; the 2016 Pixel has no eSIM support.
- Samsung Galaxy: supported models vary by country. Mainland China Galaxy eSIM activation is limited to eligible mainland-sold models and requires an operator store; Wi-Fi-only tablets do not support eSIM.
- Xiaomi: eSIM availability is model- and market-specific. On some models, eSIM uses SIM 2 and cannot be active with a physical SIM 2; Xiaomi 15 / 15 Ultra / 14T / 14T Pro have special dual-slot rules.
- Other Android brands: Huawei, OPPO, Sony and Motorola model families can vary by region and carrier. Verify the exact model number and EID rather than relying on the series name.
Rules checked August 2026. Apple · Samsung · Google Pixel · Xiaomi. Manufacturer and carrier rules can change.
