How do I know if my device is eSIM compatible?

You can start by checking our device compatibility list. Alternatively, try the following:

• Go to your device’s Settings, and look under SIM card or Mobile network sections. If your device supports eSIM, you’ll see an option to add, activate, or manage an eSIM.
• Dial *#06# - if your device shows an EID number, that's a good indication that it supports eSIM.

• Model number ≠ eSIM support: Even if two devices share the same name or model, eSIM support can vary depending on region, carrier version, or manufacturing origin. For example, some iPhones and Samsung models may support eSIM in one country but not in another.
• Carrier restrictions: Some devices may be eSIM-capable but carrier-locked, meaning they may not allow you to install third-party eSIMs unless unlocked.
• Software version matters: eSIM functionality may require a minimum software or firmware version. Be sure your device is updated to the latest system version.
• Dual SIM behavior differs: On iPhones, dual SIM support typically means 1 physical SIM + 1 eSIM. Starting from iPhone 13, dual eSIM is also possible.
• Chinese and Hong Kong iPhones: Most iPhones sold in mainland China and Hong Kong use dual physical SIMs and do not support eSIM.
  Exceptions include the iPhone SE (2020), iPhone 12 mini, and iPhone XS (single SIM versions sold in Hong Kong/Macau).
  The entire iPhone 17 series sold in Hong Kong/Macau supports eSIM, while in mainland China only the iPhone Air (Model A3518) supports eSIM.
